WinMessenger is an easy to use program that allows you to send and receive messages from computer to computer in real-time without using dedicated servers.
WinMessenger works over any network protocol and is easy to deploy. This application does not require computer knowledge or special configuration. Simply put, it is standard WinPopup without the blemishes. WinMessenger offers complete implementation of the SMB protocol, so with it you can do everything you can with WinPopup. For example, you can send a message to a Novell user, receive messages from Linux systems, send and receive messages to/from Windows NT servers and so on. WinMessenger works exceptionally well under all existing implementations of Windows without any updates or upgrades required - from the original release of Win95 to the latest WinXP. The program can be used on Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server with Terminal Service enabled.
Features of WinMessenger
- Compatible with Windows Terminal Server.
- Easy, straightforward user interface without an overload of bells and whistles.
- Emoticon drop-down list
- Minuscule memory and disk footprint.
- True SMB (the Messenger service, WinPopup, net send) compatibility.
- WinMessenger is a client-server application.

What version of Windows can WinMessenger run on?
WinMessenger can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It runs on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems with no dedicated 64-bit download provided.
